1961 Volkswagen Micro Bus Double Door Camper A ground-up restored camper with rare factory cargo doors on both sides. Has new paint, glass, chrome, rubber, upholstery, woodwork, brakes and 12-volt system. Also features a rebuilt motor and transmission. This outstanding 1961 VW Micro Bus came from the German factory with the very rare option of double cargo doors on both sides. The Oregon-based Caravelle Camper company, which was one of the first camper conversion companies in the U.S, installed the original camper equipment. After 35 years of storage, the camper has undergone a complete professional ground-up restoration to like new condition. On the exterior there’s new two tone white and blue paint with front Safari windows, new white wall tires and all new glass, chrome and rubber throughout. Included is a new canvas awning and roof luggage rack. The undercarriage and suspension have been fully detailed. The interior has new dark blue upholstery and new flooring, tables and curtains. The new cabinetry, paneling and headliner are all done in beautiful maple wood. An icebox, water storage tank and pump, fold-out bed and vintage gas heater round out the camper’s interior. The brake and 12-volt systems are new. Both the dual port 1600cc motor and transmission are rebuilt. 1969 VW Westfalia Camp Mobile81000 original miles in very nice condition. Restored in 2000Completely rebuilt 1.6 liter motor in 2009 by master Germain mechanic using VW (OEM parts). Runs beautifully, with 6000 miles on the motor since rebuild. The van is powered by a four-cylinder, four-stroke, 1.6-liter engine that was air-cooled. The engine produced 57 horsepower at 4,400 rpm and 81.7 ft.-lb. of torque at 3,000 rpm. According to the owner’s manual, the vehicle’s fuel consumption was 22.6 mpg and the fuel tank held up to 15.9 gallons. I get more like 25 mpg’s at 60 mph. 4 speed manual transmission. (new in 2009). Turns heads every where it goes. This has been my fly fishing camper for over 25 years. I really hate to see it go. The bus has always been reliable because it has ALWAYS been maintained. Cruises down the highway at 60 mph with ease. New steering tie rods in 2009. Steers like new.Interior is in very good condition.Exterior is super niceTires have 6000 miles on the Goodyear tread.Shifts like new. New clutch and bearings in 2009New breaks in 2009The pop top is original and the only thing that has not been replaced. Has a few tears, but is functional.The Yakama rack in not included nor is my kayak you see in some photos.I reserve the right to end the auction early.Someone will love this 69′ bus. It can be driven anywhere at the turn of the key.

You are bidding on a professionally restored (in 2011) 1976 VW Westfallia Tin Top Camper. We started with a very clean, rust free, garage kept vehicle which made for a beautiful restoration. The Bus comes with the original manual and original key, which fits all doors. Everything on this Bus works. The restoration included major mechanical, major exterior, and major interior renovations. Selling my 1968 Volkswagen Bus. The bus has been completely redone less than a month ago. The inside and outside are brand new on less that 100 miles. The bus is a dark navy blue and a cream top. The interior is done in the same fashion. This bus gets looks and praise wherever it goes. I would say this bus is about 95% needed only a few minor things, like window latches, hub caps The following items are new on the bus: Carburator (2 days old) Shocks window gaskets Tires (less than 100 mile on them) motor mounts brakes The bus has the following things done: The engine and transmission have been redone Dashboard rewired The underside of the bus has been sprayed with anti rust paint. many other things have have been done to the bus just cant remember everything right now. Dont miss out on this bus, it gets amazing miles per gallon (23 mpg). looks great, and seats 7. Has the middle seats which is hard to find. please email me with any questions.
